Streamlined payments and reduced cost for Hobsons
Nottingham and Newark based Hobsons has built an enviable reputation for providing excellent advice to business and personal clients since it was first established in 1927. But managing BACS payments was becoming an issue. The requirement for regular IT upgrades and administrative challenges eventually encouraged them to seek an alternative solution.
Jim Scully FCA, Managing Director, explained:
“Our payroll service has always provided a BACS capability, but we found the ongoing administrative challenge, constant IT upgrade requirements, not to mention the costs involved of managing the BACS solution within our bureau to be a significant distraction: we moved to CreDec to simplify matters and reduce cost. It was a bit of an eye-opener to be honest.”
Michele Bennett MCIPP dip, Head of Payroll at Hobsons (and a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals tutor), added:
“The ease of use is fantastic with the result that all our processes have been streamlined.”
Hobsons priority is to deliver first-class client service. The firm is a progressive practice providing a wide range of accounting and financial services to clients across a broad range of business needs and sectors.
An ICAEW member firm, Hobsons is also a member of the ICAEW Business Advisory Service scheme. They provide free initial advice and support to SMEs and start-ups across the UK through a network of over 4,000 participating ICAEW firms.
