Systems Upgrade – All change

CreDec has completed a major systems technology refresh of its core payments infrastructure. The 7 month project, which began in April 2014 land and went live on Friday 6 December, required the migration of live customers from legacy to new systems and required a short planned service outage.

The changes complete a number of significant core infrastructure programmes undertaken by CreDec over the last 18 months, in response to higher transaction processing volumes and growing demand for CreDec services.

The migration to a new core systems architecture developed internally by CreDec’s own Network and Infrastructure Services (NIS) team and CreDec technology partners allows greater security capabilities and enhances the automated presentation of customer payment instructions.

Commenting on the changes, Jose-Manuel Arnaiz, the CreDec director with overall responsibility for technology investment said:

“These changes ensure our core systems are always on, as well as providing a level of security protection [for customers] that is simply world class and ensures our capacity to integrate with our clients and their chosen platforms is unlimited.”
